If we ever do a redraft you have to have a certain amount of keepers regardless. This started as a dynasty, to complete redraft, that is a slap in the face IMO.
Thats why it we did it that way the last time we had major owner turnover and so many redraft requests. In reality I should have done a dispersal draft to fill their rosters, but I didn't think of that at the time. In the future I think thats what we'll do if we need to replace multiple teams.
However, we should implement a steal rule. Someone can post to steal your PS player. There is a certain time limit you have to respond. This ensures people stay active on the board. You don't check in, you can lose prospective players.
I like this idea. I was talking to Dave, and the biggest issue we saw with player poaching is if someone decides to abuse it and post claims nonstop. There would need to be some sort of cap to prevent that.
12 teams and 40 roster spots, I don't see the absolute need for a practice squad with 10 players. Maybe with 5 and they have to be first or second year players?
I think with the amount of starters we need week to week, along with the depth to cover those positions on offense and defense, it leaves little room for more than that year's rookie class. Then the end of the season comes, your guy hasn't hit yet, but you need to get rid of him because you can't justify keeping them. I want to give you guys enough room on the roster to be competitive, while also giving enough room so you aren't dumping all your prospects at the end of the year. But thats just my opinion.
